Take the train to Aberdeen or Thurso. From Thurso it's a quick bus ride to Scrabster ferry terminal.
You can fly year round direct to Kirkwall from Inverness, Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh
Book with Northlink Ferries for sailings from Aberdeen and Scrabster to Stromness.
Wake up in Scotland by using the Caledonian Sleeper train which goes from London to Aberdeen and Inverness (change at Inverness for Thurso).

The ferry comes to North Ronaldsay once a week in winter
In summer the ferry comes twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
